Tight Dimensional Tolerances
Electronics assemblies operate in constrained form factors. Length tolerances, bend radii, and connector positioning are dimensional requirements, not suggestions. Variation at this scale causes assembly-line failures: repeated handling, misfit, and re-work.
Fine-Gauge Conductor Handling
Conductors below 24 AWG require careful handling to avoid nicking, stretching, or contaminating the conductor. Crimp tool calibration, pull-force verification, and magnified inspection are mandatory at these gauges. They are not optional quality measures.
ESD Sensitivity
Precision electronics assemblies routed through or connected to ESD-sensitive components require proper ESD-safe handling from start to finish. Uncontrolled electrostatic discharge can damage components without any visible evidence; failures appear downstream.
PCB Connector Compatibility
Board-to-board and wire-to-board assemblies require precise connector orientation, keying, and retention force to avoid incorrect insertion during assembly. Wrong-way connections on densely populated PCBs cause immediate or latent damage.
